DC sending someone to NACO Healthcare hearings in Marin County. They are watching Single Payer...

NACO (National Association of Counties) health care hearings, Sacramento 4/16/09, Public comment.

Susan Adams, the Marin County Supervisor who will be speaking in favor of single-payer health care at the NACO hearing inSacramento on 4/16/09, says she will be given only 5 minutes to talk.

 

Susan is not sure there will be opportunity for public comment at the hearings, but that Mr. Paul Beddoe, the Legislative Director for the NACO Health Steering Committee,  is coming to Sacramento from Washington DC for the hearings on the 16^th.

 

Susan says we can send our comments via email to Paul Beddoe at,  pbeddoe@naco.org.

 

I suggest that everyone send Paul an email, with a copy to your county supervisor stating your preference for single-payer.

 

After their hearings, no doubt NACO will be making recommendations based on their consensus, as to how the country should proceed on health care.
