On July 28th, FAIR successfully delivered our prescription for improved healthcare coverage to ABC News.
You and more than 13,000 physicians, activists and concerned citizens demanded that the TV network open up the debate on healthcare reform to include advocates for single-payer proposals, which are supported by 59 percent of the public and an equal percentage of physicians.
Thanks to your participation, the media have taken notice. The L.A. Times covered our petition delivery and acknowledged that there has been a "gaping hole in much of the media coverage -- caused by the failure to investigate practices around the rest of the world, particularly European-style, single-payer programs." And the buzz continues to grow.
Your signature was critical in helping FAIR amplify this vital message. But we need your support to continue to build this campaign and keep the pressure on media outlets not to discount the public interest on this critical issue.
Let's make sure the networks can't continue to shut the public out of the healthcare debate.
From all of us at FAIR, Thanks for your support.
