I got a lot of responses from people wanting to use Person2Person to call people and advocate Medicare For All.
The Person2Person tool is getting set up right now and there is a large list of people to call. These are people from around the country who have responded to the Mike Farrell TV ad or have said they would accept calls. The Person2Person site is here at http://www.1payer.net/faxapp/callers/add.
You can start using the site now, but the script is in draft form. You will have to make up some of it as you go if you are using the Person2Person tool now. I would appreciate some people using it as it develops, because that will give me feedback on how to make it better.
One purpose of the Person2Person tool is to ask people you call to send faxes to Congress. Therefore, when you call, you should have another browser window open on your computer, in addition to the one that you are using for Person2Person. If someone wants to send a fax while you are on the phone with them, you can switch to the other browser window, enter the information for them and send the fax right then.
The easiest fax to send is the one called "Simple Message -- Everybody In, Nobody Out." You can find it here at http://www.1payer.net/faxapp/senders/add/cid:27.
Remember, this is a test site still. Know what you are going to say. Keep it simple. Get a commitment. Get an email address. Be polite. Watch the TIME of your call -- don't call at inconvenient times, or too late or too early. I really want to know how this works. If you can commit to health reform, then you can commit to making a call. Believe me, the DeathEaters are doing it in spades.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Person-to-Person works on the idea that direct contact is the most effective way to convince someone about single payer Medicare For All. The tool asks you to contact ten or more others and educate them about single payer Medicare For All, then enlist them to help.
We start with a list of about 5000 phone numbers of people who have responded positively to the Mike Farrell TV ads or to telephone polls we conducted in January. We also start with a list of about 15 million people who have volunteered to receive more information of all kinds via email and phone.
We give you a list of these numbers to call or emails to contact. We give you a script to say or an email to send. You set aside an evening or afternoon to do your contacting. As you contact people, we give you a way to get a commitment to positive action from people who are willing to help.
To start with, we will give you phone numbers to call because these are people who have already said they support Medicare For All. We need more action from each of them and your job is to help them take that action.
This newsletter is seen by about 6000 people. If every one of you gets 10 commitments to action from a phone call you place, that will result in 60 thousand faxes to individual Congressmen and Senators.
