Or How to Talk with Voters who do not Share Our Values.

Dear Single Payer Healthcare Activist,

 

You are invited to a wonderful single payer training on Saturday, March 27 in San Francisco near CivicCenter. 

Have you have been stymied by opposition to universal, single payer health care because of fear of government and taxes? Are you frustrated because no matter how many times you explain about the millions of Americans without health care, some people still don't support it? Have you wondered why when you say "single payer" others hear "socialized medicine"? If so, we want to help.

 On Saturday, March 27^th, Dr. Eric Haas and Mr. Joe Brewer of Cognitive Policy Works will lead a hands-on workshop on effective political thinking and communication related to passing meaningful health care for all Californians. The workshop, Staking out an Effective Moral High Ground: Shared Prosperity through Investment and Single Payer, Universal Health Care, draws from psychology and cognitive science and gives you handy resources, challenging activities, and realistic practice on how to really listen and talk so you can effectively persuade more people about the necessity and benefits of universal, single payer health care.

Please RSVP.  We are limiting the training to 60 people.  We are charging $15 to $100 on a sliding scale for this wonderful training.

As we will have a working lunch, we suggest you bring a lunch or order a sandwich for $6 from the attached menu.  Deadline for sandwich orders is Thurs. March 25.

 

The training assumes some familiarity with single payer. 

If you want to review SB 810, on Wed. March 24 at 6:30, we will have a class at 531 Grove St.  531 is 5 blocks west of the Civic Center BART/MUNI stop.  Parking is doable.
