Hello Single Payer Activists!

I am writing to you live from Detroit at the US Social Forum! It has been an amazing week meeting activists from all over the country working on specific social justice issues as well as learning the history and culture of the city.  It has been a really amazing experience so far, and i'm thrilled i had the opportunity to participate.

On that note, there is much to be done, as you all know! The President has set up a Deficit commission to explore options for funding social security and medicare. The person  sponsoring forums all over the country on 6/26 to hear from "the people" is this is Billionaire Pete Peterson.

Health Care Now in conjunction with Social Security Works is holding counter demonstrations all over to let the President know we will not stand fro the privatization of these vital social insurance programs. If you are available, please join me this saturday to ask people to sign postcards to support SB 810 and HR 676!!

Dear Healthcare Activist:

Healthcare NOW has been asked to join with Social Security Works to organize concurrent rallies on Saturday June 26th outside of the "AmericaSpeaks 21st Century Town Hall" meetings.  These Town Halls are not open to the public and are bankrolled by Pete Peterson, the billionaire gunning to privatize social security and Medicare.  We are asking folks on the ground in these 20 cities to help organize a rally outside of the town hall. 

In LA, the town hall will be Saturday, June 26th from 8:30am - 3pm at:
