Phone Tree Callers Needed to Protect our Social Investments

The Bad Guys Are Coming to the Bay Area to Rob Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security for the 1%

7pm Tuesday March 6 in Oakland

 

Please help us build a 7pm rally Tuesday, March 6 outside the Paramount Theater in Oakland to Protect and Expand Medicare.  The Paramount is on Broadway at the 19^th St BART.

We need your help calling activists for this event.

 

Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles are traveling around the country speaking about "their solutions" to our deficit crisis .  They are proposing many of the cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid that were part of their "plan" during their time as the co-chairs of the President's Deficit Commission.  They will be in Oakland at the Paramount Theater on Tuesday, March 6^th and we want to be there EN MASSE to let them, their audience and the public know that Oakland and the Bay Area are totally opposed to their proposals.  The program starts at 8pm, so we want to be ready to go with an informational picket with songs, chants and speakers at 7pm as folks start to arrive or pass by.
