CALLING ALL EAST BAY SINGLE PAYER SUPPORTERS! THE MEDICARE FOR ALL BUS IS COMING TO OAKLAND - HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!

 

The bus arrives Tuesday, July 3 at the Alameda County Administrative Building

1221 Oak Street, between Madison and Oak Streets, Downtown Oakland

 

Events:

3-6 PM free health screenings (blood pressure and a couple of other basics)

6:30-8:00 Town Hall meeting, including an open mike for people to tell their own health care horror stories

 

We need to get the word about the bus tour out to community members suffering from lack of health care, unemployment and foreclosure. This is a wonderful opportunity to reach people who hadn't heard about Medicare for All and who can become supporters and activists.

 

One of our targets is the Latino community, which is suffering greatly during this health care crisis. WDRC health committee members plan to pass out leaflets at the Fruitvale BART station to advertise the July 3 screenings and Town Hall.

 

What you can do to help:

Join us for Fruitvale BART leafleting 4:30-6:30 PM on Wednesday June 27th, or Monday July 2nd. Pick any hour or more during those time slots. We'll be passing out leaflets in English and Spanish (see attachments).
