SPECIAL EVENT: TAKE BACK THE HOUSE OF REPS (in Berkeley, Calif)

September 13, 2012

Take Back Red California

Christine Pelosi
Chair of the Women's Caucus, California Democratic Party

Nicky Gonzalez-Yuen, Mayme Hubert, Jack Kurzweil
and the
Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club

Invite You to a PARTY

To support efforts to take the House of Representatives
back from the Republicans in 2012

Sunday, Sept 30, 3:00PM to 5:00PM
at the home of Nicky Gonzalez-Yuen

2311 Russell Street, Berkeley

John Garamendi (CD3) and Jerry McNerney (CD10) are incumbent Democrats.  These districts have been redrawn in a way that makes their reelection a challenge.
Ami Bera (CD7) and Jose Hernandez (CD10) are running against Tea Party incumbents Dan Lundgren and Jeff Denham.  Both incumbents are very vulnerable in redrawn districts.
Jim Reed (CD1), Jack Uppal (CD4), John Hernandez (CD10), and Otto Lee (CD22) are advancing Democratic values in conservative districts and do stand a chance of winning.

Find out more about these campaigns and what you can do to support them.

Please RSVP no later than September 28 by purchasing your $25 ticket at ActBlue at

Or send a check payable to "Take Back Red California" To: TBRC Treasurer, Greg Sanborn, 702 Windmill Court, Concord CA 94518

Who is TBRC?
TBRC is a grassroots partnership between activists in Democratic and Republican districts. We support Democratic candidates in "red" California with financial support as well as encourage volunteers from safe Democratic areas to travel to "red" rural ones.
TBRC takes the long view by training candidates and registering voters in key areas in Northern and Central California. We can take back more of California with great candidates in red areas and dedicated partners in blue areas.
For more information about TBRC, check us out on Facebook or at our website,
                     http://www.takebackredcalifornia.org.

Support Jose Hernandez for Congress

Jose Hernandez is running for Congress in CD-10.  He has lived an implausible life story, realizing his dream through hard work, perseverance, and education to become an astronaut, which began when he was a nine-year old boy helping pick crops with his farmworker family in the San Joaquin Valley.

Jose is running for Congress in CD10 (Tracy/Modesto) against a first term Tea Party incumbent, Jeff Denham.

He's a strong progressive who supports taxing the 1%.  He's in favor of single payer healthcare and the dream act. He will defend a woman's right to choose. Let's help him get elected.

DFA4Jose has been hard at work in the primary.  Their efforts put Jose in the lead in the district's largest city and increased Democratic turnout by 19%. Here are dates when you can walk for Jose in Tracy:
