CAN YOU VOLUNTEER TO MAKE A FEW CALLS?

Single Payer Now Phone Tree Callers

Dear Phone Tree Specialist,

We need your help calling activists for our Single Payer Now annual potluck on Sunday, Feb 10 at St Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco.
We have great speakers lined up.  See leaflet attached and pasted below.

Calling activists is the best way to build a meeting.  And 55% of our activists do not have email.
Please let me know how many names you can call.
Some people take 10, some 25, some 50 or more.  I will also send you a suggested script.
___ Please send me __ 10 names, __ 25 names, __ 50 names, __ more.
Thank you.

Single Payer Now's Yearly Healthcare Potluck
Featuring Presentations
On the Need for Universal Healthcare
Minus the Insurance Industry

With the passage of national healthcare legislation (the Affordable Care Act), 2013 presents both political challenges and opportunities for movement growth.   Under the best case scenario, the Affordable Care Act will still leave 3 million Californians uninsured.  The ACA will also deliver different levels of care to different classes of people and the insurance industry will still be stealing 20 billion dollars from Californians.

Both nationally and in California we are working to pass legislation that would deliver healthcare to everyone and exclude the insurance industry.
Come learn why single payer healthcare is so important.   And enjoy a great meal.
Speakers include:
Ben Day: National Organizing Director for Healthcare Now.  Ben is past director of MassCare, Massachusetts's state advocacy organization.
Mike Casey  President of Local 2 UNITE HERE.  Local 2 represents 12,000 hotel workers in San Francisco.
Jodi Reid  Executive Director of the California Alliance for Retired Americans.
Roxanne Sanchez  President of Service Employees International Union 1021.  SEIU 1021 represents 54,000 workers in Northern California.
