President Obama
Expand Medicare - Don't Cut Medicare
Support HR 676
5 to 6:30pm Wed., April 3 in SF
Corner of Divisadero & Pacific Ave
(#24 Divisadero goes to Jackson which is one block south of Pacific)Please join us on Wednesday, April 3 to tell President Obama that we want national healthcare that delivers healthcare to everyone without the interference of the insurance industry. Obama will be fundraising in SF at a $5000 per person dinner.
President Obama is under tremendous pressure to cut Medicare. The March 29 NY Times reported that he is willing to raise the deductibles for Medicare. He needs to hear a strong message that we want healthcare for everyone.
Under the best case scenario, the Affordable Care Act still leaves tens of millions of people without healthcare. We want to pass HR 676, the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act. HR 676 would spend resources wisely, whereas the health insurance bureaucracy wastes 31¢ of every health care dollar. HR 676 would deliver healthcare to everyone, while the insurance industry attempts to avoid the sick, deny claims and pass expenses on to others.
