Healthcare Now needs your financial help.  Healthcare Now, the national single payer group, is at a crucial moment in our fight for single payer healthcare.  We need immediate contributions and we need activists to become monthly donors to stabilize the movement.
Single Payer Now relies on Healthcare Now to send out thousands of alerts and to keep informed of the national efforts for movement building.
Please come to a fundraising party on June 9 at 6:30. 
Dr. Walter Tsou will speak on the need to fund the movement.
Walter is an advisor to Physicians for a National Health Program, a former president of the American Public Health Association, former Philadelphia Health Commissioner, current professor of health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, and on the executive committee of Healthcare Now.
We are asking activists to make a contribution of $50 to $1000.
A contribution can be given with one payment or as monthly contributor.

Healthcare-NOW! has provided the grassroots organizing and support for
single-payer advocates throughout the country. Our survival depends on
raising enough funds to operate effectively, and we need your

Grant and institutional funding for single-payer health reform work
has become more difficult to secure since the passage of the
Affordable Care Act, but *there has never been a more critical time
for Healthcare-NOW! to push ahead with building the grassroots base
needed to be successful in achieving our goal*.

 

Various professional organizations and affiliations have relied on
Healthcare-NOW! to provide that grassroots backbone that pushes us
ever closer to the day when an improved and expanded Medicare for all
for life will be a reality. Many of those groups support our work, and
we are grateful for that support. Additionally, our volunteer board
members donate their funds and their time to Healthcare-NOW! as
generously as they are each able.

 

Healthcare-NOW!'s work is done in the most cost-effective ways
possible, but *unless we raise significant funds in the very near
future, Healthcare-NOW! may face difficult operational decisions*. We
need you to help us with this urgent need for funding [

diligently to stabilize our financial situation and to lead us on to
more grassroots success.

 

We are looking forward to a busy summer, including our end of July
Medicare anniversary actions as well as the groundbreaking National
Strategy conference in August that will bring Healthcare-NOW! together
with the Labor Campaign for Single-Payer Healthcare and One Payer
States in Oakland, CA.
