Help Vermont win single payer healthcare with phone calls

Many of our allies in the movement to achieve single-payer health reform are helping the Vermont movement to fully implement Green Mountain Care.  As you know, Gov. Peter Shumlin announced just before Christmas that he would not be offering a financial a financial plan for Green Mountain Care (single payer).

 

On January 8th, when the Vermont legislature reconvenes next week to announce their choice as the Vermont governor, the people of Vermont who fought so hard to see the passage of Green Mountain Care will rally.  Even as Gov. Shumlin offers his state of the state address followed by a Green Mountain Care board meeting, healthcare advocates will be outside making it clear that they were betrayed -- and that it is wrong for any of the politicians in Vermont to deny what the people of Vermont demanded and won.

 

Right now, there is an urgent need for all of us to engage in calling Vermonters to turn out for the rally.  Mike Fox of Progressive Democrats of America is pulling together the effort to make thousands of phone calls -- and allies from around the country can choose their own times to make calls and can do so from wherever their phones may be.  Please be in touch directly with Mike should you have even a bit of time to give to support Vermont.   To reach Mike Fox call: 727.320.4502 or email: mikefox@PDAmerica.org.
