On May 26, Vermont's Governor Shumlin signed legislation that will lead to single payer healthcare by 2017. The Vermont Worker's Center, Physicians for a National Health Program, and the AFL-CIO will discuss the healthcare movement in Vermont at the board meeting of Healthcare-NOW! on August 28 in Burlington, VT. Single Payer Now's organizers Don Bechler and Lisa Patrick Mudd will report back to activists in SF on September 7 and in Los Angeles on September 18.
