California - October event in solidarity with Occupy Wallstreet nationally

San Francisco Rally in Solidarity with 
"October 2011"
in Washington, D.C. 
new SF Federal building 
7th St. between Mission & Market Sts.
 Thursday - October 6, 3-6 pm 
Discussion to follow at 
Koret Auditorium, Main Public Library
6- 7 pm

 

WHO: We are people who are concerned about the failure of U.S. "politics as usual" to meet human needs and protect the planet and we invite your participation in this rally! 

 

WHAT: Rally and moderated discussion in a "general assembly" format about how to meet human needs and sustain our planet not corporate greed. This San Francisco event is in solidarity with an encampment taking place in Washington DC, beginning on October 6, 2011 ( http://October2011.org  for more details). 

 

WHEN: Thursday, October 6, 2011, 3 pm to 5:30 pm (rally); moderated discussion to follow from 6-7 pm. 

  

WHERE: Rally at 90 7th Street (in front of the new Federal Building) between Mission and Market Streets, near Civic Center BART/MUNI station; moderated discussion to follow the rally at the SF Public Library's Koret Auditorium, 100 Larkin Street (at Grove), with live streaming on the big screen from the "October2011" activities in Washington DC. 
Koret Auditorium located on the library's lower level. Enter 30 Grove Street, proceed down stairs. 
Refreshments are not allowed in the Auditorium. (note: This is not a library-sponsored program). 

  

WHY:  We must demand:
·          End the Wars!
·          Tax the rich!
·          Care for the people!
·          Protect our environment!
