March & Rally for Healthcare

Pick-ups at 8am in SF, 8:30am at Ashby BART in Berkeley, and 9:00am in Richmond.

 

I hope you can take the bus with us on Monday April 13 to Sacramento to rally for Single Payer Healthcare and Healthcare for the Undocumented.  State Senator Lara has introduced Senate Bill 4 to make undocumented Californians eligible for state healthcare programs. 

The rally is being organized by the Healthcare4All Coalition and the All Care Alliance.

The schedule for the day is:

8:00am sharp. Bus leaves SF on Fulton between Hyde & Larkin.  Fulton is between the main library and the Asian Art Museum near Civic Center.  It is one short block from the Civic Center BART station or you can park in the Civic Center garage. 

8:30am.  Bus stops at the Ashby BART in Berkeley.  It will stop upstairs from the BART station on Adeline on the west side of the street. 

9:00am.  Bus picks at the Target parking lot in Richmond at 4500 McDonald Road.  The bus will pull into in parking lot on 42^nd St for pick up.  

10:30am.  Arrive in Sacramento at the Embassy Suites Hotel where those who want to march a mile to the capitol will disembark.  

Bus will continue to state capitol for non-marchers.  Some of us will deliver postcards for single payer healthcare to state senators.  We are only delivering postcards to legislators.  The deliveries are not formal lobby visits. 

11:30am to 1pm.  Press conference and rally at state capitol.  

1:15pm. Board bus for return trip home.  

Last drop off in San Francisco should be completed by 3:15pm.

Snacks and water will be provided on the bus.  

Box lunches for bus riders will be provided by rally organizers.  

On the trip home, we will pass the hat to help pay for the bus.
